Start with the affected fixture, what has changed and when. Note access, fixture choices and who supplies materials. Confirm permit responsibilities, exclusions, tax and approval for extra work before agreeing to a quote.
Put two quotes on the same page.
Enter amounts from quotes you already have. Use the same inclusions for each. This adds your figures in CAD; it does not estimate market prices or add tax automatically. Include the tax shown on each quote.
A lower total is only comparable when the scope matches. Check visits, exclusions, permits, finishing work and change approvals.
